Good morning, dear friends and followers!
Next year, I am considering launching an experiment in which I act as a mentor for young people.
By encouraging them to do the right thing, we can foster hope for a better tomorrow and boost our self-esteem.
Confidence is not fixed; it can be developed intentionally, even in times of uncertainty. Many people feel alone or “not good enough” when starting over; so I will draw on my experience to normalise these feelings.
My idea is based on the fact that, like the people I will be mentoring, I will be taking my first steps into the future alongside them. Together, we will build a future full of expectations, challenges and productive work. The only difference is that I will leave behind 40 years of experience, accumulated with love and hard work, as a legacy of our success.
I never imagined that I would be starting over at the age of 65. As I reach the end of my running project at the end of next year, I am determined to find a new purpose in life.
I have found it: supporting young entrepreneurs to succeed by sharing all my life and business experience with them!
By identifying common confidence killers such as “I’m too old/inexperienced” or “Everyone else seems so far ahead”, as well as general fears of failure or judgement, I will be able to recommend the right solution for each individual.
My general approach is to “do by testing” rather than waste time thinking too much and doing too little.
Life is a wonderful place to test our ideas. It’s time for Europe to start acting like the USA. The most successful young entrepreneurs got where they are by getting stuck in, falling down and trying again.
At this point, I would like to share a quote from Goethe: ‘Knowing is not enough; we must also apply. Wanting is not enough; you must also do.’
Let’s get started together! I would be happy to receive any tips or questions you have about this post of mine.
